" Copy of a Letter received from Mr Wm Walker
South Branch House April 24th 1791
Mr Mitchel Oman
Sir,
Opportunity offering I take the pleasure to inform You that we are all well and have pafsed a very agreeable Winter, hoping this will find You and all under your direction the same.
My Trade is but little owing to the want of Brandy and Cloth, for above this two Months past, I have had neither, which made me loose the chief of the Trade and the primest of Furrs, for the Want of the above articles.
By the Bearers Peter Sabbiston and James Linklatter I have sent one Bag of Bristol Shot of 20 lb which I hope you will receive; I would have sent them down sooner, as it was Mr Tomisons orders, but the Weather was so uncertain it would not permit to get the Canoes in readinefs.
I have nothing further to relate, but conclude wishing succefs to the Companys affairs, every felicity to attend You and all under your direction
and to remain
Your most obedient Servant
William Walker"
