" Saturday Wind variable extremely warm hazy weather the people employed as before till breakfast time. that the boats returned from the Marsh when all hands except two that was brewing & Cooking & Six that were employed on and for the Sloop unloaded the boats of Grafs."

" Sunday Wind NE a fresh breeze clear fine weather two Canoes of Abbitibi Indians arrived from the East'd but brot very few Furrs the one of 'em is a lieutenant."
Aug. 3
" Monday Wind E & S Cloudy weather very warm. the two Shipwrights jobbing for the Sloop & preparing for putting up a shallops boat. Carpenter making a sprit for the Yawl and mending the mouldings of her. Armourer making nails for the intended new boat. Six? Sloopers getting the Sloops sails onboard and getting her ready for going down to the point tomorrow. one Cook one afsisting in the Warehouse finished the Overhale of Trading Goods &c the others cutting Grafs & making Hay. the Shallop arrived from Albany this forenoon. rec'd ducks from Indians."

" Tuesday Wind Calm till noon when we had a fresh breeze NE very warm weather. Armourer making nails. Carpenter at work on the launch. Cook as usual & one Chief servant. the Shipwright got the shallop ashore & the Sloopers attempted in vain to get the Ship to the point all the rest variously employed afsisting the Sloopers & Carpenters Cutting grafs and making hay. dispatch'd the Albany men for that place. rec'? a Canoe for Inland Service."

" Wednesday Wind NE fresh breeze warm weather. all hands at tide time got the Sloop down to the Point the rest of the day was given up to them to wash &c, for Haymaking & Shiptime so fully employs every one that scarcely a ? & can be spared. two Indians arrived from East Main with Letters. " Thursday Wind SW fresh breeze very warm weather. four men mowing the plantation. Carpenter & one to afsist him at work on the Launch. two Shipwrights & one to afsist them at work on the Shallop prepairing her for a Voyage to East Main, one painting one of the boats one Cook & one Chiefs Servant. all the rest afsisting in dispatching the Sloop & afterwards mowing and hay making."

" Friday Wind S very warm weather with thunder showers. the Shipwrights an 3 to afsist them a while at work on the Shallop. Evr'y body else haymaking & Stacking hay."
Aug. 8
" Saturday Wind SE very warm weather the Shipwrights and others to afsist them at times at work on the Shallop. the Carpenter and Cooper at work on the Launch. all the rest mowing and making hay. this afternoon could not (as usual) be given up to them, the dispatch necefsary to be used with the Shallop and the precarious state of the Weather obliged us to work till dark. rec'd a Large Canoe for Inland Service."

" Sunday Wind SW very warm cloudy weather. the Shallop in laying on blocks has broke away part of her keel it being to thin to bear her weight. Origianlly having been intended for a Long boat the people were employed getting her in a better situation for repair. that if pofsible she may make a voyage to East Main for the Geese Mr Atkinson offers, which would be of materal service to Albany and this place. as every 3 Geese would be the saving of a piece of Pork or Beef."

" Monday Wind SW flying clouds very warm weather. in the evening we had a tremendous storm of thunder lightning and rain. Thirteen Men gone with the two large boats to the Marsh for Grafs. the two Shipwrights & Huntow at work on the Shallop. Armourer and one to afsist him making bolts for ditto. the Carpenter at work on the Launch. one Cook and one Chiefs Servant. Rec'd ducks from Indians."

" Tuesday Wind W cool cloudy weather. the people employ'd as before. PM Mr George Donald with one Canoe of home Indians & one of Upland Indians return'd from Surveying the S Branch of Moose River. the Boats return'd from the Marsh in the Evening. Sent fresh provisions down to the Sloop by Indians."

" Wednesday Wind NE fair weather the Tradesmen at their several employs as before. the others unloading the Boats of Grafs and Collecting the Hay that had been cut before on the plantation."
Aug. 13
" Thursday Wind NE cloudy cool weather. Thirteen men gone with the 2 Boats for Grafs to the Whaway Creeks. the Shipwrights and Huntow, and at times the Carpenter taking out part of the broken keel of the Shallop and prepairing a piece of timber to put in its stead. Armourer and one man making Iron work for ditto. Seven in the Sloop at Ship hole. Rec'd ducks from Indians."
Aug. 14
" Friday Wind SE & NE cloudy weather with a little rain. the men employed as yesterday except the Shipwrights mate & Armourers mate who were taken off to brew small beer. in the evening the men came home with two Boats loads of Grafs. rec'd ducks from Indians."
Aug. 15
" Saturday Wind NW cloudy cool weather with rain. the Tradesmen employed as on Thursday. the Shipwrights imperfectly finished putting in the Shallops keel all the rest except one to Cook unloading the Boats of Grafs."
Aug. 16
" Sunday Wind SW cloudy cool weather with mizling rain. about 9 AM Capt. John Richards came up to the Factory in his Yawl the Honble Companys Ship Sea Horse being safe arrived in Moose roads the Shipwrights at low water secured the Shallops keel."
Aug. 17
" Monday Wind NW cloudy cool weather the Shipwrights Huntow and 3 Sailors prepairing the Shallop for going down to the Ship. the Carpenters & Cooper finished the new Launch one Cook one Chief Servant all the rest mowing on? the plantation and at times afsisting the Carpenters who finished the other side of the Shallop & block'd it. the ships Yawl ret'd for the Ship Early this Morning."

" Tuesday Wind W rainy weather. Early in the Morning dispatched Robt Folster & four Indians with the Brunswick & Micawbunish? Letters &c for M. Maugenest. the Men employed as follows the two Shipwrights and Huntow and 3 Sailors preparing the Shallop for going down to the ship the Carpenter and Cooper at work on the new launch which they finished. one Cook all the others Haymaking and at times afsisting at the Shallop. rec'd Jn Manson, Tho. Isbister, & Ja Flett Labourers and Rich'd? Graham & Jos? Brown Sailors ashore by the Ships Long Boat which came up with a Cargoe of Flour. Geo? Beckwith and an Indian arrived from Brunswick with the Accompts of that place and a Letter from M. Maugenest. Vide Correspondence. Discharged Jn Inkster & Ja Death, Sailors."

" Wednesday Wind N Cloudy cool weather with rain. the three Shipwrights making top masts for the ship. the House Carpenter and Huntow afsisting them one Taylor at work for self. one Cook two writing. the rest afsisted the Shipwrights in getting home sticks for masts and afterwards Cutting Grafs & making hay in the forenoon the Shallop went down to the ship."

" Thursday Wind as before SW fine weather the three Shipwrights House Carpenter and Taylor Employed as before. Cook as usual. all the others Stacking Hay they Compleated 1 Stack. Ships long boat went down to the ship."

" Friday Wind West fine weather. the Shipwrights House Carpenter Cook & Taylor as before. the rest in the forenoon hay making in the afternoon unloaded the Ships Longboat & Shallop which came up with Cargoe. both Vefsels proceeded to the Ship again. rec'd on Shore Helsey? Sangster House Carpenter."

" Saturday Wind SE fine clear weather all hands in the forenoon hay making and afternoon unloaded the ships long Boat which came up with Cargoe & was discharged immediately. the Shallop came up to Middleburgh the Indians that went with the Companys Packet to AR return'd."

" Sunday Wind and Weather as Yesterday. the Shallop and Long Boat came up with Cargoe and were discharged immediately. rec'd ducks and Fish from Indians."
Aug. 24
" Monday Wind West clear hot weather Shipwrights making a Crofs Jack yard for the Ship. N? Linklater and Sangster Jobbing. Armourer repairing Indians Guns. Taylor at work for Chief. two writing. one Cook. the rest in the forenoon stowing away Cargoe in the afternoon unloading the Ships Long Boat and putting stones on board her and she proceeded again for the ship. Discharged Rich'd Whitehead Cooper he being unfit for the Companys Service. dispatched the AR shipwright for that place."

" Tuesday Wind NE cloudy weather all hands variously employed Viz. Stowing away Cargoe, unloading the Shallop and ships Long Boat which came up with Cargoe, putting Water, Wood, Stones &c on board for the Ship. in the evening the Shallop proceeded to the point. rec'd Fish from Indians."

" Wednesday Wind NNW cloudy dark weather. Shipwright at work on the Shallops boat Carpenters Jobbing. three Sick. Taylor at work for self the rest stowing away the Cargoe in the forenoon afterwards Carrying Grafs up the bank to the plantation. in the Morn'g the Capt. went down to ship hole in the Long boat & Shallop but the wind blowing so hard the long Boat could not proceed for the ship but return'd to the point. PM the Moose Sloop Anchor'd in Ship hole and the Capt. & Mr Lavaser came up to the Factory. rec'd Letters from Albany in the Evening Mr Maugenest and the Indians arrived from Brunswick."

Rich, Andrew Thompson & Nich. Bues Labourers. Rec'd Geese & Ducks from Indians."

" Monday Wind SW Shipwright and two Carpenters at various necefsary Jobs. Armourer repairing Guns. Taylor at work for Trade. two looking after the Cattle the rest Mowing and fetching Grafs from Menseys? Island. AM Mr Jn Turner Ships Surgeon &c went onboard late PM the long boat came up again with part AR Cargoe Mr Ramsey came ashore."

Armourer Taylor and Cook as yesterday the rest variously employed collecting stones for the ship fetching home Grafs unloading the Shallop which came up with AR Cargoe & afterwards putting stones on board the Shallop for Ballasting the Ship. rec'd fish from Indians."

" Wednesday Wind SE blows fresh clear weather all hands employed hay making. rec'd ducks from Indians. Early this morn'g the Shallop proceeded for the ship."
Sept. 3
" Thursday Wind NNW cloudy weather with small rain. Shipwright & Huntow at work on the shallops Boat. two writing one Cook Taylor at work for self the rest went to Middleborrough & Pilgrims Islands with both the large boats for Grafs in the morning the Long Boat proceeded for the ship but was Obliged to return it blowing too hard for her to proceed. 11 AM the Boat came from Pilgrims Island with Grafs."

" Friday Wind NE dark Cloudy weather. AM the Large flat bottom boat returnd from Middleborrough with Grafs. all hands employed unloading both boats sent by the Ships Long boat two days provisions to the Shallop which still remains in ship hole it blowing too hard for her to go to the Ship."

" Saturday Wind NE blows fresh fine weather. Shipwright and Huntow at work on the Shallops Boat. the two Carpenters railing in the Hay stack. Taylor at work for self. Armourer repairing Indians Guns sent from Brunswick the rest washing the officers Guard room cleaning their own House, the Yard &c PM the Moose Sloop came up to the Point. Mr Vavasar came ashore the Indians that went with the Packet to Micawkanish? ret'd. Late PM two Indians arrived with Letters from East Main."

" Sunday Wind SW cloudy weather with light showers of rain at times at 12 OClock Seal'd the Pacquet and delivered charge of the Honble Companys Property to Mr George Donald. afterwards Mr Thomas, Mr Jarvis, Capt. Richards & Mr Williamson went on board the Beaver Sloop & proceeded for the ship. PM a Canoe of Uplanders came in with a few Summer Furrs."

Armourer Jobbing. two Grinding Oatm'l, three went up the river to fetch home the Cattle. two rolling decayed brazil Tobacco which has been drefsed. one Cook. one Sick. in the afternoon Mr Knight & 6 Hands went in one of the Batteaux with Powder Shot &c to the Whaway Creeks for the Goose Hunt. rec'd Fish from Indians."

Taylor at work for Trade. two Salting Geese. the clearing the Nth Flanker in readinefs for putting the Goods out of the Warehouse which is intended to be raised and to have a new foundation. one Lame, one Sick. PM the Men returned with the Batteaux from the Whaway Creeks & afterwards were Employed Grinding felling Axes, Sharpening Saws &c in readinefs for going up the river to Fell Timber to underbuild the Warehouse Flanker. rec'd ducks &Geese from Indians."

" Friday Wind SW cool Weather with light snow. Shipwright & one Carpenter making necefsary repairs to the Shallop the other Carpenter altering Mr Vavasars Bedplace. Armourer mending Hunting Guns Taylor at work for Self two brewing Small Beer, one Cook one Servant two lame the rest afsisting Mr Vavasar in Endeavouring to get up the Sloop to her Winter birth. rec'd Geese & Fish from Indians. Sent four hands in the New Shallop to Hannah Bay to fetch home Geese."

" Monday Wind NE fine weather Shipwright one Carpenter and two Labourers squaring Logs for underbuilding the Warehpouse Flanker. Taylor at Work for Mr Vavasar. Armourer Jobbing Bricklayer and one to afsist him Sawing plank for raising the roof of the Sloops Shed. the other Carpenter with one to afsist at work on ditto, three Salting Geese & cleaning the Goose shed all the rest with Mr Vavasar digging a Trench for getting the Old Shallop into the Doctors Creek and Getting Booms for the Shallop. PM a Canoe of Mesackamy Indians came in with a few Skins."

"Tuesday Wind SW fine weather. Shipwright one Carpenter one Sailor and one Labourer squaring Logs the other Carpenter & Magnufs Spence roofing the Sloops shed. Taylor at work for Mr Vavaser. Armourer stocking Hunting Guns, three Lame, two Sick, one Cook, one cleaning the Warehouse &c. Sent Mr Beckwith & 4 hands in the Small batteaux to the Goose Bluff to fetch Geese & to serve the Indians Powder & Shot Likewise sent Jn Knarston & 4 Hands in the Sloops Boat to fetch home Mr Knight several of the people being Sick & Lame. rec'd Geese from Indians. in the Evening the boat return'd from the Goose Bluff brot 176 Geese."

Mr Beckwith & 4 hands went to the Whaway Creeks, the former to stay in Mr Knights stead and serve the Indians Powder & shot. the rest employed taking the Lead of the NE shed & Warehouse Flanker, removing Trading Goods &c out of the Warehouse Flanker into the Nth Flanker."
